BAND NAME: SorrowStorm

LOCATION: Panama (Panama City, early), USA (Pennsylvania, later)
Formed sometime in 2000, but since Ogrustorm was busy with his death/grind project Encryptor, he put SorrowStorm on hold until the end of 2000, when he began recording more black metal-oriented music. Split up in 2010 after Ogrustorm retired from music.
The album "Caverns of Grief" was the first full-length black metal album ever released in Panama. SorrowStorm was nominated for a Grammy award in Panama's "Hard Rock" category in 2003, getting third place.
It was never fully completed, but a partial critique of the "Satanic Statements", written by Ogrustorm, can be read [here].
Ogrustorm has dealt with manic depression for many years, and credits God for keeping him alive -- through faith; using music as an outlet for his emotions; finding friends in the scene, etc.

The meaning of the band name, from PureVolume:
" 'Sorrow' is defined as: deep distress, sadness, or regret. It defines 'Storm' as: to make a mass attack against, to rush along furiously. When both words are combined, a good sentence would be: To create a campaign of mass attack against an enemy, out of deep distress. This reveals the mission of Sorrowstorm as a musical project."
