2013 - 2014 Reawaken the Congregation

Began as a continuation of an electronic/noise project, with the intent of releasing more "standard" unblack music under a different name. However, there was an unintentional switch along the way, and now this project is for my darker music, while more experimental music will be used elsewhere.

Tracks 1-4 were remastered in 2020. I wanted to remaster track 5 too, but, I don't know, I couldn't get it to sound better than it already did. Anyway, on Bandcamp, I've "replaced" the original audio with the new audio, but the original versions are included in the download files in case anyone still wanted those. Track 2 is a little shorter now - all I did there was remove a bit of noise and silence.
1) Subterranean (Intro)

2) Through the Darkness
5:55 original
5:42 remastered, lyrics:
Through this dimness,
I walk,
Every step echoes...
Every breath reverberates
Through the dust
In the air I breathe
Air, thick and suffocating
I hear sounds
I no longer know if they're my own
My heartbeat or something else
But I remember...
My strength is not my own.
Through the darkness,
Through the blackness
Whether I die,
I am endless
I do not fear
Any longer
Dark surrounds,
But I am stronger
Through the darkness,
Through the blackness
Whether I die,
I am endless
I do not fear
Any longer
Dark surrounds,
But I am stronger
Through the darkness,
Through the blackness
Whether I die,
I am endless
I do not fear
Any longer
Dark surrounds,
But I am stronger
Through the darkness,
Through the blackness
Whether I die,
I am endless
I do not fear

3) Our Strength in Christ
5:52, lyrics:
I hear it coming
From the darkest corner
Out of my sight I hear it approaching
A dark spirit, discontent, abhorring
Seeking to destroy me
The walls feel like they're closing in on me with each step. A tall, shadowy figure emerges from the darkness. Malice fills the air. It reaches its hand out at me but I don't relent.
(Me) "You filled me with fear in my youth, in my weakness."
(Demon) "You are still weak. You are helpless here. You can't escape this darkness. Nobody will hear you now"
(Me) "You can no longer harm me, you who hides in the darkness created by the very One you fight. In the caverns made by the One you fight. And in the name of Christ I rebuke you."
For through Christ, we are stronger than them - all evil beings that try to attack us. In a suffocating whirlwind, amid a dark portal opened to evil forces, in the deepest, darkest caverns...
Libera me ex inferis
Ad me lux in caelestis
Infringetur morte et malum
Gloria Patri in aeternum
Libera me ex inferis
Ad me lux in caelestis
Infringetur morte et malum
Gloria Patri in aeternum

4) With Us Forever
4:04, lyrics:
Through the midst of blackness
I walk through a darkened time
in a catacomb of desolation
Searching for the brightest light
Skulls line the walls but I'm not afraid
En medio de la tiniebla
Camino en tiempos negros
En una catacumba de desolación
Buscando por el luz
Skulls line the walls but I'm not afraid
Mi Salvador está conmigo aquí - hoy, mañana, siempre, para siempre
5) The Tomb Is Empty (Mat 28:5-6)
4:11, instrumental
(For reference, Matthew 28:5-6 says, "The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.")

1) (Rough Concept) Jeremiah 8:4-5, 6b, 13a
7:06, lyrics:
You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord,
When people fall, do they not get up again?
If they go astray, do they not turn back?
Why then has this people turned away into perpetual backsliding?
When I wanted to gather them, says the Lord,
There are no grapes on the vine,
Nor figs on the tree,
Even the leaves are withered.
They have held fast to deceit,
They have refused to return
No one repents of wickedness,
Saying, "What have I done?!"
When I wanted to gather them, says the Lord,
There are no grapes on the vine,
There are no figs on the tree,
Even the leaves are withered.
When I wanted to gather them, says the Lord,
There are no grapes on the vine,
There are no figs on the tree,
Even the leaves are withered.

5) The Might of God, Exemplified Through Water
5:56, lyrics:
The chaotic mass in which the earth and the firmament were still undistinguished, unformed, and as it were unborn, was a heaving deep, an abyss of waters ... and this deep was wrapped in darkness. But it was in the process of formation, for the Spirit of God moved upon the waters ... the creative Spirit of God, the principle of all life ... which worked upon the formless, lifeless mass, separating, quickening, and preparing the living forms, which were called into being by the creative words that followed. (Keil and Delitzsch Biblical Commentary)
Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." "Come," He said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. (Matthew 14:25, 28-29)
None but the world's Creator could multiply the loaves, none but its Governor could tread upon the waters of the sea. (Matthew Henry)
Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope? Can you put a cord through its nose or pierce its jaw with a hook? Will it keep begging you for mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle words? Can you fill its hide with harpoons or its head with fishing spears? If you lay a hand on it, you will remember the struggle and never do it again! Any hope of subduing it is false; the mere sight of it is overpowering. No one is fierce enough to rouse it. Who then is able to stand against Me? (Job 41:1-3, 7-10)
The... water... flowed... back... and... covered... the... chariots... and... horsemen... the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived. (Exodus 14:28)
And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. And He [Jesus] awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm; And He awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:37, 39)

I said a lot about this on the album page. I'll try to shorten it a bit for this blog post:
This EP is about some VERY deep anger I felt toward someone. [...] This EP deals with these kinds of angry, spiteful feelings, and how God encourages us to adopt healthier, more responsible mindsets. Revenge and hatred are not righteous, no matter how justified we may feel in seeking them out. (Exodus 20:13, 1 John 3:15, Matthew 5:44, etc.) These feelings only lead to mental, spiritual, and physical ruin. [...] Leave it up to God. (Romans 12:19) Pray for your enemies. Don't return evil for evil. As God forgives us, so we should seek to forgive others. As God shows mercy to us by giving us second, third, fourth, etc chances when we sin, so we should try to do the same for others. We are not better than those we hate. We shouldn't hate them. We shouldn't support their actions, but [...] think of it this way: be angry at THINGS, not PEOPLE. In my case, for example, I should direct my anger at the ideas of "abuse" and "theft", not at "abusers" and "thieves". They, too, are lost souls - wicked ones, yes, but ones who need the Gospel as much as we do. God doesn't enjoy condemning people. God would much rather these people stop their evil ways, and turn to His grace instead.
1) Sinking My Fangs into the Searing, Boiling Pool of Revenge
1:30, instrumental
2) Making You Regret Everything You Did (or Slaughter You Trying)
3:58, partial lyrics:
You'll suffer now (?)
I'll stab my knife into your stomach
I'll tear out your arms
I'll destroy you
Not so fun on the other side of the fence, is it?
Why are you screaming now?
Don't you want this?
Don't you want the torment?
You will now...
I'll stab you with metal until you're bleeding (?)
I'll hit you with a bat until I break your nose
I'll stab you over and over
I'll keep the air from getting to your lungs
I'll kill you
3) Watching the Fire Get Closer, Knowing You Can't Escape
2:48, partial lyrics:
"... to watch you burn".
4) Within an Inch of Your Life
3:01, instrumental
5) Crumbling at God's Might, I Lower the Murder Weapon... and Weep Bitterly
4:09, I'm almost certain these are the correct lyrics:
I couldn't
This mercy, divinity, this light shines through again
I saw You in his eyes
I saw another needy soul, in need of grace
I saw the price You paid
(Scream)
No soul is worthless (?)
I break down again (?)
I can't do it
I can't kill him
(Scream)
I'm as guilty as him
(Scream)
My sins aren't the same
But it still kills
(Scream)
I can't kill him
If I do, I'm only killing You
If I do, then what's the point?
In him, a soul You want saved
In him, are sins You died for

About "Black Night Prayer"
"When I began to write the lyrics for this song, I was experiencing temptation. The second the first line was written in my mind, the demons immediately fled, and my mind was clear again. This is not the power of my lyrics, but rather, the power of the Holy Trinity. May this prayer, though probably controversial, be beneficial to those who are dealing with darkness in their lives and/or souls. In the name of He whose righteousness is greater than all evil combined, Jesus Christ."
1) Bozkath - Black Night Prayer
(uploaded 6 November, 2018)
3:29, lyrics:
Evil, consume nothing.
Darkness, crush darkness; fold in upon yourself.
Demons, raise up your war banner of surrender.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
12) Bozkath - Black Blood of the Redeemed
(uploaded 29 December, 2018)
11:55, lyrics:
Ash nazg durbatulûk
Ash nazg gimbatul
Ash nazg thrakatulûk
Agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
Flowers still grow
In the soil God made...
The shadows are His...
Ash nazg durbatulûk
Ash nazg gimbatul
Ash nazg thrakatulûk
Agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
Amen
Amen

3) Bozkath - God, Conqueror of Dark Spiritual Legions
4:06, lyrics:Tunc ait Salomon: Dominus dixit ut habitaret in nebula. (1 Kings 8:12)
Picture them standing a short distance away from you.
Picture them coming closer.
Picture them with weapons.
Picture them with swords and clubs.
Picture them baring their teeth at you.
Picture them staring into your soul.
Now picture God standing next to you.
Now picture God putting His foot in front of you.
Now picture all of their weapons suddenly vanishing.
Picture them backing up in fear.
Picture them running away.
Picture the safety you feel in that moment.
Now picture this:
God's not going to walk away when they leave.
God's going to stay with you.
