VOCIFEROR

BAND NAME: Vociferor
GENRE: Symphonic Unblack Metal
STATUS: Split-up
LOCATION: USA (San Diego, California)

Note written on Metal Archives. I have no verification if any of this is true:
"Vociferor was just a side project for fun between two members of Vanguard. Never was it intended for there to be an actual release, until one of their friends pushed for them to release an EP, which led the band giving him permission to manage the project and find a label to release it under."

Lineup:

Discography:

Christian Black Metal - The Ultimate Collection (compilation)

31 December, 2008, Sullen Records, format unknown
????, Sullen Records, iTunes

11) Vociferor - Before Mourning 3:23

Fall of Man (EP, 20 June, 2009, Sullen Records (RIP-OFF LABEL))
Format: CD-R, limited 250 copies

Curiously, the cover art was originally intended to be used for a Rising Hour album, planned for release on EEE Recordings. After Rising Hour left the label etc, the image was used for this EP instead. Something or other happened, and ultimately, EEE never released the EP, and the Vociferor guys ended up releasing this EP on Sullen instead. So the cover art ended up being released on a different label, by a different band.

1) Preludium
1:22, lyrics:
The LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten. But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause. Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed. Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad. And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide; Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me. Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
(Jeremiah 20:11b-18, KJV)

2) Before Mourning
3:21, instrumental

3) Sorrow
2:47, lyrics:
O fleeting joys
Of Paradise, dear bought with lasting woes!
Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay
To mould me Man? did I solicit thee
From darkness to promote me, or here place
In this delicious garden? As my will
Concurred not to my being, it were but right
And equal to reduce me to my dust;
Desirous to resign and render back
All I received; unable to perform
Thy terms too hard, by which I was to hold
The good I sought not.  To the loss of that,
Sufficient penalty, why hast thou added
The sense of endless woes? Inexplicable
Thy Justice seems; yet to say the truth, too late
I thus contest; then should have been refused
Those terms when they were proposed:
Thou didst accept them; wilt thou enjoy the good,
Then cavil the conditions? and though God
Made thee without thy leave, what if thy Son
Prove disobedient, and reproved, retort,
"Wherefore didst thou beget me? I sought it not:"
Wouldst thou admit for his contempt of thee
That proud excuse? yet him not thy election,
But Natural necessity begot.
God made thee of choice his own, and of his own
To serve him, thy reward was of his grace,
Thy punishment then justly is at his Will.
Be it so, for I submit, his doom is fair,
That dust I am, and shall to dust return
(adapted from the poem "Paradise Lost" by John Milton)

4) Unworthy
3:07, partial lyrics:
(?) o Lord
(?) my spirit
Again when I (?)

I am unworthy, I am (so?) unworthy
(?) my place
And yet when I die, my soul will rise
And mine eyes will witness Your face

(?) my spirit (?) cries
(?) let me see You

5) Deliverance
2:48, partial lyrics:
(?) judges me
Demons of (death?) torment me
(?) escape this madness

(?) consumed
(?) for one day

Something has changed
(?) resist this dark

1) What role did each band member play? 2) The rest of the lyrics. 3) The artwork above is official -- it was used on Sullen Records' Myspace page. However, these two variants are also online. One where the album title is written in a cursive font, and one where there's no text at all. Can anyone tell me more about these? Thanks!

Miscellaneous stuff:
An image from Myspace that I like a lot:

More cover art variants -- Drawnsword has confirmed that these were unused. They were draft versions that he and a label were considering. At this point in time, the EP was planned to be called "The Fall of Man".
