An unnamed session drummer was lined up to help on this album, but he was unable to help because of time constraints and things in his personal life. A second session drummer, also unnamed, was later recruited.
After ending Rising Hour, Ephphatha started a secular project called "Cult of Suffering" (named after the idea of "suffering" being given undue credence -- a criticism that most often seems to be leveled against certain figures in Catholicism, but the term can be applied in any case, religious or otherwise, where one focuses too much on problems/weakness/etc, and not enough on finding solutions to said problems.) There were plans to reuse much of the material from this album, for the debut album of that project. However, I can find nothing indicating that an album by "Cult of Suffering" was ever actually released.
The "Sovereign" version of the album was planned to contain these tracks:
