The name Boanerges is taken from Mark 3:13-17 (English) or Marka 3:13-17 (polskim), when Jesus appointed the twelve Apostles/Disciples. He gave James and John the title of "Sons of Thunder" -- which is "Boanerges" in Greek (or "Bene Reghesh" in Hebrew). The Bible doesn't 100% tell us why Jesus gave them this title, but the most common idea is because of James' and John's fierce, "thundery" temper.
