This is a song about spiritual complacency within the Church. My uncle's body was found hanging in-between two trees around 100ft from church grounds. It baffles me how things like this happen on a regular basis and the Church as a Body does very little to help, many have lost their passion and their First Love. Compromising at every turn, making excuses every day for their own sin while ignoring the problems around them that they might could help solve. A soul that could be reached. The physical destruction caused by complacency is catastrophic, but the spiritual destruction caused by complacency-- is eternal.
My uncle's guitar was bought from a pawn shop and given to me as a gift, I used his guitar for both lead and rhythm guitars in this song. My goal is to wake people up in the churches, and revive spiritual awareness.

"My mother has always lived a sickly life, so much so that it bled over into her emotions and fought her mentally day in and day out. Despite this she has always stood up for me, my dad, and God. This song is about the suffering she has endured, to give you a glimpse at what me and my dad have witnessed over the past few months, and years. Then after the unexpected passing of her brother and my beloved uncle back in August 2018, this made things much worse for her, for all of us. Of course her pain could never be described with words, so I wrote this song to hopefully give her strength and encouragement in Christ Jesus. She is not a metalhead, but she enjoys anything I set my mind to create or do, she truly is the best mom in the world-- my Sweet Mother."
