I'm going to stop updating Unblack Archives (and Encyclopedia Metallum) for awhile. It's a complex situation and I'm not totally sure about all the details, myself. But I can sum it up like this: I've spent my entire life trying to fix my mental problems with ineffective methods. I'm constantly exhausted and depressed / "running on fumes", and I hardly accomplish anything in life. I need to start seriously confronting this and finding better solutions so that I can work like a normal person, not just when I get a spontaneous burst of energy, or when it's a life-or-death situation. In order to do that, I need extra time and energy that's taken away from me by things like Unblack Archives. But at the same time, I don't want to leave any unfinished work; it's unfair to the artists whose work I represent on the website. So if you have any more details that need to be filled in, please let me know soon. And of course, we can still talk, if you like! It doesn't have to be all business/professional. I simply won't be able to update any pages. Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for understanding. Pray for me. I need it so badly.
++ If anyone can relate to this problem, where you have no energy at all and have to force yourself to work, even on casual / leisure / "fun" activities, and you have found a way to cope with it, please reach out with that information. I'm desperate.
A site documenting and archiving the unblack / Christian black metal scene and related stuff. As of 15 April 2023 it will be kinda on hold for awhile. UA takes a lot of work, and I need to prioritize some other things in my life right now. Rest assured, all of those other things are still done with the aim of serving the Lord. Please pray for me.

You've done a tremendous work with this blog. Take care of yourself, friend.
Dear brother, English is not my native language. I use Google translate. Depression is an illness that must be treated with a doctor. But that is not enough. We must obey Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is therefore to take the good remedies that are the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Added to this is a life offered to the Lord. Offer to Our Lady of Seven Sorrows all your troubles. Offer all your work to Saint Joseph. Don't keep anything to yourself. Everything is God's. Be grateful. Pray the Rosary, every day the Mysteries and also try to say the morning and evening prayers. The goal of our life is to reach heaven to join the Lord. You go through a dark night, persevere, don't give up on religious practice. Mass is a time of great blessings. May God keep you. Thierry Bienvenue.
