Please note:
This band is added here because of lyrics on their recent albums, and
because Ron Vento is a Christian
(converted somewhere between 2000 and 2009?) However to my knowledge,
none of the other band members have been Christians. Generally, Aurora Borealis is not considered nor does it consider itself "unblack metal", etc. To new readers: this is a Christocentric website. While the site aims to be comprehensive (and it should be, as I've been a fan of this band since like 2007!), this page will only emphasize 2014 onward in the band's career.
Metal Archives says the band formed in 1994. The band's social media says 1995. I'll try to get this cleared up soon.
While their style has remained more or less the same over the years, old material is a bit more thrashy / "first-wave", while newer material has a bit more technical death influence.

As I understand it, the official album title is one single word, but it's spelled as two words online. Even within the album layout, it's spelled as two words in a couple places.
The official release date for the CD was 3 March, but pre-orders were sent out starting 28 February by Ron's label Nightsky Productions, which also handled North American distribution of the album. Note that some places list Xtreem's release, and Nightsky's release, as separate versions. They aren't. They're the same thing, just distributed in different locations.

The previous album "Timeline" was a concept album merging current scientific models with theism / creationism to create a timeline of the universe. This included some ideas that I'm not personally really comfortable labeling "Christian" (eg, the big freeze, and an eventual restart of the universe, rather than being ended preemptively by God on judgment day.) Anyway, this album is a speculative sci-fi continuation of that album. Near the end of "Timeline", humanity was nearing its doom, and sent out a vessel containing DNA, information, etc into the far reaches of space in hopes someone would find it and continue the species. Here, an ostensibly intelligent group of lifeforms locates this vessel and recreates mankind, but soon shows themselves to be corrupt and self-serving.

This is a concept album. It seems to be a sort of fable/parable: containing a message, but the story itself not being entirely "real". In this story, instead of the fallen angels being cast to earth directly, they're cast into the depths of stars and imprisoned. Some of them don't escape and are trapped in the stars when the universe dies. However some of them do escape, and this is where mankind's belief in aliens comes from. The fallen angels -- demons -- make their way to earth and pretend to be various forms of alien life in order to mislead, and get mankind under their control. They influence "the lives of great rulers (from pharaohs, to kings and presidents)". Eventually this all culminates in the battle of armageddon.
The track "Sarkikos" features references to (and criticism of?) "Images in the Nightsky" from their 2000 album "Northern Lights".
