BAND NAME: Mefiboseth
GENRE: Gothic/Unblack Metal

LOCATION: Honduras (Tegucigalpa)
Formed 31 October, 2002. Went on hold in 2009 and became active again in 2012.
Also went by "Mephiboseth" at some point. (See their Myspace page.)
Mefiboseth or Mephibosheth was an ancient Israelite discussed in 2 Samuel. When he was young, his father was killed in battle. A nurse attempted to flee with him to safety, but she dropped him and both of his feet became crippled.[1] But later, King David gave him property and a seat at the king's table.[2] The band chose this name to show "we may not have it all, and some more than others . . . but God is wonderful because He is our 'goel', that is, our Redeemer, like King David did for Mephibosheth." The band uses this as an illustration of the grace God gives to us today.
