Done.

I remain a Christian, but the "church" has become a den of Babylonian idolatry, unclean spirits, pride, and everything that THE LORD GOD opposes, and I refuse to keep pretending that's not the case, and hoping things improve while the so-called "faithful" continue to fall into apostasy. I'm walking away from Babylon as the Bible instructs me to do.

If I have to walk the world as a lone Christian, then I'll do that. It's better to worship Christ truly while alone, than to worship falsely with a huge group.

Hello. What denomination do you belong to?

I agree with you.

A few people in the groups that I associate with have decided to start pushing me out in very subtle ways because I've tried to lovingly point things out, supporting people like Perry Stone. You'd think they're praying TO him the way they talk.

Participating in bizarre numerology, totem aggrandizement, legalism, displays of platitudinal regurgitation of words - saying the right things, but clearly not accepting or understanding the meaning. Wrong motivation.

We can all have blind spots, but the state of the whole thing is bizarre, and I'll fully admit to getting things wrong a lot, I'm sure. Still, sincerity and love for Christians has been lost to an exclusivity clause, choosing instead to close off and make common politique an integrated portion of their spiritual identity.

Equating the one true God with brands they purchase, sentences to put on their wall, t-shirts to wear, all under the assumption that they're right and everyone else is wrong, with no concern or love for others or whether or not they ever come back around to Christ.

As long as they agree with them, and what they do, they believe these people will go to heaven.

Eisegesis is a rampant disease which hurts us all.

Brother, there is a place for you, however much we may disagree on certain details, though we align on far more than we don't - remember Hebrews 10:25, "Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but let us exhort one another, especially as you ee the Day approaching." --- I know you know this, and I know when I say that, I'm not saying to tolerate false doctrines and artificial divisions, and I'm not being adversarial.

Your discernment is important and accurate.

Selling their souls, in exchange for this world.

Exactly. You and a tiny handful of others have been a massive help throughout my struggles with this.

I'm not sure where a place for me would be. Mention it in email maybe?

I've never heard of Perry Stone, but a quick glance at Wikipedia tells me he's your average American "evangelist" - aligns with politics more than with Christ, has tons of allegations of him some of which he's admitted to, talks about things he doesn't understand... Maybe these "evangelists" are part of where all this is coming from. The mainstream "evangelists" are preaching it, so the unquestioning "seeds eaten by birds" echo the sentiment, assuming it's God's word without actually reading their Bibles.

I've seen occasional mockery of the sin of "pride", suggesting it's not that bad compared to other sins. But this rise in "us vs them" mentality, and rise in nationalistic political drivel, is proof positive of how dangerous this sin really is.

Praying the best for you and your walk. I'm sorry you've been hurt by the church, it definitely can feel cross when the body becomes vindictive and quick to judge. Especially when it comes to fleeting things such as politics and aesthetics.
