It didn't seem sensible to make whole pages for bands/artists who are totally unrelated to the scene, yet there are many such artists who have done one or two unblack metal songs across a wider musical career. It only made sense to me to document these songs somehow. This page will be hosting the majority of them. This page is not complete yet. I'll add to it over time.

Lo-fi black metal with some folk elements. Apparently the distorted string sounds here aren't from a guitar, but rather a ukulele!
Strangely, the title states this is a "4-hour un-black metal song", yet the song is only about 5 minutes long. Any explanation?

4:14, lyrics:
"Hell is a totally cool site
So let's get there, all right?"
"I'm gonna party down there all the time
All the pleasures I'll want are mine!"
"Satan has given me his vow,
I'll rule over souls, beneath my feet they'll bow!"
You are all bewitched
Bewitched by the Spell of Hell
Spell of Hell
Spell of Hell will pass
Spell of Hell
Only pain will last
Let me tell you the Spell of Hell
Is just a lie that makes you die
That lie is Satan's crooked tool
He's gonna get you, Hell is not so cool
you think, and Satan thinks you're fool
"No fun in Hell", that's number one rule
And you will not rule over any souls
But suffer under a pain that holds
Spell of Hell
Spell of Hell will pass
Spell of Hell
Only pain will last
There is a way to avoid that place
Escape Satan's trap, enter God's grace
Bathe in the Blood of Christ
Receive forgiveness and new life
Let's get spelled with Christ
Savior, Lord and Light
Let's get spelled with Christ
Who takes away the night

GENRE: Gothic Doom Metal with Darkwave / Deathrock Influences

The song "An End to Pain" is in a gothic-tinged black metal style, almost like early Cradle of Filth.
Note that a handful of places have mislabeled the song "And End to Pain" - this is incorrect.
2:29, lyrics:
This tomb, my house of pain
it has been so long
this blood covered floor screaming walls surround me
every waking moment
to feel like I will burst in agony
stretched skin from the pulsating pressure
it’s unbearable
they’ve tried to chain me
subdue my rage, this is living hell
the chains I tore apart
irons on my feet I broke
until that day
I saw him coming through the mist
a lonely vessel on the water
it carried more than a man
upon the shore I raced to him
the man whom I feared
before him I dropped
my knees Kohllapsed in pain
from inside screamed a voice
it was not me
"what do you want with me?
Swear to God you won’t torture me"

2) Sick World
6:48, lyrics:
Child abusing. The sick man. His thoughts.
The criminal perverted act. Rapes and kills.
No one heard the cry. No one saw the tears.
No one, no one heard...
The scream, the scream, the scream
The scream in a sick world.
Full of violence, full of perversion.
Satan goes around
Searching for inhuman machines.
Everyone is searching for answers.
Answers from this world
But Satan's influence has come
To manipulate the minds,
And no one asks for Jesus Christ.
That's the problem, that's the truth,
This will be our death.
Break down marriages. Divorce. Lost children
Without support, without love, hatred grows.
No one hears the cry. No one sees the tears.
No one hears...
The scream, the scream, the scream.
The scream in a sick world
Full of hate, full of infidelity.
Satan goes around
Searching for inhuman machines.
Track 5 on this is black metal with some gothic flair.
NOTE: While these are the official lyrics on their Bandcamp, I still suspect there may be a couple of errors. For example, "Satan I have to adore" not only makes no sense theologically, but the vocal line sung in the song sounds very different from that. But I can't hear what the correct words would be.
5) Belated Perception
3:33, lyrics:
My life on earth is over
I died a sudden death
I didn't care about JESUS
I am sorry to confess
I don't know where I am
It could be hell I guess
Should this be the terminal
For all the deceased godless?
A grieving darkness surrounds me
Fearsome screams get through my core
Tearing the intolerable silence
Satan I have to adore
I want to lose my sense
I want to die
But I am dead
JESUS is no lie
His existence is reality
And who believes in Him
Is blessed in all eternity
Now I know that
Now it is too late
Now that I am dead
I know there is no fate
But an almighty GOD who has all under control
If I only had a second chance
I would live a different life
A life in CHRIST
If only somebody could hear me
I would shout out loud
'Alive is CHRIST'
And the reward for those
Who live without Him
Is worse than death
It is eternal loneliness
Eternal agony is my future
Tortured and godforsaken forever
Will I turn back ever?
Never

1) Where Their Worm Dieth Not
12:40, lyrics:
Anathema
Eternally encased in flames
The fruits of deception
The everlasting pain
The decadent illusion - fuel to the fire
Devoured by death with ease
Exposed before the one you despised
His sentence incites your pleas
Temporary glory - the everlasting fire
The Serpent's true agenda - the passion of the liar
Driven by hatred of God and man
Maniacal thrust
Morbid prince of darkness fueled by pride
Consuming souls with lust
Eden's garden - without pardon
Cursed and cast away
Fell from Heaven - prideful leaven
Creation subject to decay
The seduction brought corruption
From conception we're estranged
Enslaved to mass deception
Now the sane appear deranged
Yet a light shines in the darkness
To redeem the souls of man
Through divine condescension
Salvation wrought through God's right hand
On a bloodied cross he purchase our redemption
Divine intervention - the death and resurrection
Behold the fulfillment of the scarlet oath
Souls in torment where their worm dieth not
Now enslaved where their worm dieth not
There they suffer where their worm dieth not
No one saves where their worm dieth not

1) Slow Temple
4:58, lyrics:
You are so afraid
Of what others think
Afraid to speak the truth
This is not in love
Saving face
Superficial ways
Now is the time to
Make your life count
Live by design
Life is divine
Seek and ye shall find
The way that you live
And the way
That you want it to be
Are two different things
Living two different dreams
An open rebuke is better
Than love secretly
Say what you mean
Say what you mean
Now is the time to
Make your life count
Live by design
Life is divine
Seek and ye shall find
Hold your faith

Symphonic death/black metal, surprisingly similar to bands like Lorna Shore.
" 'Dust' is a song with one simple message; if God doesn't exist, life cannot be significant on an objective basis; but merely a relative basis. The answer to questions such as 'What is my purpose?' or 'What is the meaning of life?' would be that you exist for no purpose whatsoever, and that life has no overarching, grounded objective meaning."
1) Dust
6:44, lyrics:
Taste and see of the vanity
A cosmic accident of insignificance
Merely a spark in the infinite darkness
Spiraling in relativity, life is absurd
No worth
True purpose is lost if we reduce to dust
All meaning becomes subjective
In the absence of God we will rot, and our souls are lost
Mankind is orphaned, no reason for us
Just specks of dust, straying through infinite nothing.
Objective significance is illusory
Now fade, and decay
The rotting is our call
A bankrupt pursuit
Striving after air in unyielding despair
Creation ripe for cessation
For all that awaits in the end is absolute death
Mankind is orphaned, no reason for us
Just specks of dust, straying through infinite nothing.
Objective significance is illusory
Void of God, all is destined to futility
Accidents, byproducts of matter and chance
Woe where humanity stands
We live for naught, and return to dust
(whispers, can't make out the words)
Accidents, byproducts of matter and chance
Woe where humanity stands
We live for naught, and return to dust
Mankind is orphaned, no reason for us
Just specks of dust, straying through infinite nothing.
Objective significance is illusory
Void of God, all is destined to futility

Demo (demo, January, 2007, B.R.A.S.H. Metal Records)
Format: CD (or CD-R?)
One of the tracks on this is black/death metal. All the others are death metal with basically no black metal influence. After this, information gets messy. I don't know if the artwork here is correct or not. On Metal Archives, it's listed as the art for their other release, but on streaming services, it was used as the artwork for this demo. All the streaming links are down now for unknown reasons.
Note there are different tracklists online. The tracks are given in various different orders, and the track lengths are moved around a lot. This one is from their official pages and is presumed correct:
1) Antichrist 4:18
2) Satan's Fate 6:39
3) Man of Stone 2:55
4) Prepare for Battle 5:20
If this tracklist is correct, then the "black/death metal" song mentioned would be track 1.

1) Do Not Choose Damnation
2:51, lyrics:
The kingdom is here
The Lord has revealed
Believe in the Son
And you will not see eternal damnation
For He is the way, the truth and the life
The manna from heaven
So eat His flesh and drink His blood
For eternal life
Now is the time
Say yes to the light
The Son is now calling you to repent
And to reject your false gods
So eat His flesh and drink His blood
And you will live forever
Now is the time
Say yes to the light
The Son is now calling you to repent
And to put faith in Him
And He will raise you up in glory
For long ages the nations have stumbled
In the darkness of their ignorance
But the time has now come for repentance
And for all men to receive His grace
So many lost souls
Yearning for a reprieve
From their grief and suffering
If only they'd open their eyes to see
The Son of Man
Waiting with arms outstretched
To save them from themselves
To give them rest
2) Fueled by the Holy Spirit
2:18, lyrics:
For too long, I let the devil gain ground
I was asleep, flesh was weak
I was hellbound
Drank the poison, tipped it back
And let the chills run down my spine
(One more time, I need more)
Why don't I feel alive?
The sex was never enough to make me feel at peace
And I was eaten alive by this spiritual disease
No matter how sweet the taste
Or how warm her embrace
I still felt like a ghost
With no joy and no hope
That's where He found me
Cold heart, dead eyes, no empathy
He breathed life into my lungs
Called me home
Healed the wounds that I swore could never be healed
Amen!
Healed by the love of Jesus Christ
And I will never be the same
Amen!
I feel a new strength
Supernatural and unstoppable
Amen!
I feel a new strength
Gaining ground every day
Fueled by the Holy Spirit
No longer a slave
My God has severed my chains
I will sing your praises
Glory to the Most High
Father, Son and Holy Spirit
And if our Lord is for us
Then who can stand against us?
And if our God is with us
Then who can stand against us?
Fueled by the Holy Spirit
I feel a new strength
I am fueled by the Holy Spirit
I'm living every day to bring glory to Your name
I feel a new strength
I am fueled by the Holy Spirit
And I will conquer every day
I am fueled by the Holy Spirit
3:02, lyrics:
A warrior of mighty stature
Stood before them
Clad from head to toe
In shining mail of bronze
Goliath was his name
He struck fear among the people
And day be fay the giant
Taunted the soldiers of the Lord
None had the courage
To face this man on the battlefield
Save for a shepherd boy
His people called him David
He had slain a lion and a bear
In his youthful age
He feared the Lord
And he was strong in his faith
David answered the challenge
Of the mighty Philistine
He wore no armor
Nor did he bring shield or blade
But he approached the giant
With nothing but sling and stones
Answered the call
As men of Israel watched in fear
Lo!
Goliath mocked the boy as he approached
"Am I a dog that you face me with stick?"
The giant cursed the young boy by his pagan gods
And swore to feed his flesh to the hungry birds
You fight against me, with weapons wrought of iron
But I fight against you in the name of the Lord
Goliath rushed forth to slay the future king
But David showed no fear, but readied his sling
He launched a stone into the giant's forehead
It sank into his skull, and he crumpled dead
With his own sword, the giant's head was severed
And David held it high for every eye to see
All of Israel's foes, fled the field of battle
And the camp of the enemy was plundered
Let those who mock God tremble in fear
None can stand against those who walk in faith
Let this be known to heathens far and wide
Our God is second to none
Second to none

1) The Nightmare from Which We Must Wake Up
8:00, lyrics:
Cripple the do-gooders
Never let them raise
A finger against our sin
Dress up the emperor
Appease them with bread and circuses
Threaten and intimidate any who look past the curtain
COINTELPRO
While the inside decays like whitewashed tombs
Teach them they are nothing
All who oppose us are mud formed from an accident
"You have no greater purpose
Than to reproduce and die.
So is the way of mud.
So is the way of self-replicating RNA."
Denounce the liberator
Christ - a filthy moralist
Children - our playthings
Adults - our nihilistic wallets
Give us splendor while you die.
"This is all life is: a system of money
There is nothing else
There is no other goal to reach
Stop dreaming
Stop trying to change it
Quit speaking out
Stop running away
Stop resisting indoctrination"
Filthy moralists
Beat them down
Strike their heads
Bleed them dry
It is not cruelty; they deserve all of it and worse
For trying to free you
For trying to help you
For trying to break these bars
This prison we told you to love
This prison of debt and sadness
Of alcoholism and vain pursuits
To find real purpose in life
To breathe fresh air
To hear the birds
To feel the so-called Lord
To hear his putrid voice
His putrid wisdom and love
You don't need love.
You need us.
You don't want to be the next moralist, do you?
You know what happens to them
Get back in line
Work, fornicate, drink, birth some more minions for our machines
And then die
You will never be anything more than mud
You will never be anything.
Put that fairy tale Bible down, idiot.
Work and die. Get in your grave.
Close that damn Bible!
Kill a prostitute
Close that fucking Bible!!
Build more hostile architecture at taxpayers' expense
CLOSE THAT BIBLE! AGH! STOP!

5) My Neighbor
3:35, lyrics:
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
“What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
“You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes and beat him, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

1) It's really difficult to find good-quality pics for Deuteronomium for some reason. I could use better versions of all three of their logos, and all three cover variants for "Street corner Queen". 2) The logo and original / left cover art for Kohllapse's album. 3) All versions of "With Fire". 4) Acoustic Torment's logo and cover art. 5) Do Jaakob Aako or Alexander Kledtke have logos? 6) Logo and photo for BRASH, also the shield design shown below. 7) A version of Hell's Enemy's newest logo where the bottom edges aren't cut off. 8) Both logos for Crimson Thorn.
BRASH shield design. I don't remember if they ever explained what the symbolism meant:
**Projects here that aren't on Metal Archives:
