BAND NAME: Settlement
GENRE: Atmospheric Unblack Metal / Neoclassical / Ambient
STATUS: Unknown
LOCATION: USA (somewhere in New England)
A band based musically and thematically on colonial America. The band refers to itself as "NEBM" / "New England Black Metal".
The "about" section on YouTube is written in Early Modern English. See "miscellaneous" below for my attempt at a translation of it.
Forsooth, we deny the temtations of those who seek from life a feeling of hapieness thorow a randevoue with evill. For these are sines. These are the victeles of the Devill. New England soyle itselfe hath proved evill, and fell beastes wandereth in ye antiente wodes. Let us not fall under the yoake of shuche diabolical temtations. We turne our backes on ye waies of ye foule papists and ye savags and of heathene waies of Thomas Morton. Scant victeles are less a deanger to Christian sowls; fervente imbrasemente of solleme toyle is our chosen and moste righteous path.
Settlement woulde take America backe to its bleke and blakish origines. It wants to reminde this wetherbeaten nation given to mischefe of Original Sin. We must returne to the old waies of Separatism, Puritanism, Discipline, Riggour, and Dismale Miserie-- Lest we estrang our frosen sowles in noysome sine.
Lineup unknown.

Miscellaneous stuff:
My attempted translation of the text on YouTube:
"Indeed,
we deny the temptations of those who seek from life a feeling of
happiness through a rendezvous with evil. For these are sins. These are
the provisions of the devil. New England soil itself has proved evil,
and beasts wander in the ancient woods. Let us not fall under the yoke
of such diabolical temptations. We turn our backs on the ways of the
[foul papists?] and the savages and of heathen ways of Thomas Morton.
Scarce food is less of a danger to Christian souls; fervent embracing of
solemn work is our chosen and most righteous path.
Settlement
would take America back to its [bleak and blackish?] origins. It wants
to remind this weather-beaten nation, given to the mischief of Original Sin. We must return to the old ways of Separatism, Puritanism,
Discipline, Rigor, and Dismal Misery-- Lest we estrange our frozen souls
in noisome sin."
