On V1 of Metal Archives, there was a note saying, "Pre-selling on Rhythm Rock Store". Thus, there were apparently pre-orders, but... I'm not sure if the album was ever actually released.

The left artwork is from Metal Archives; the right artwork is from Rhythm Rock Store's old website. (Please note, the black and orange border is not part of the album artwork -- it's just part of the thumbnail on the website!)
Metal Archives lists it as being released in 2008, but as of February 2009, it hadn't been released yet. By 2011, it had been taken down from Rhythm Rock Store's website. Whether it had been sold in that time, or not, I don't know.

Update: At least 2 songs from this album were released, at some point in time. Whether the full album was ever released, I don't know. But thanks to a contributor for sending this info!! Two track lengths are given below.

I have very little information about this band.

Formed as a secular band in 1997. Became Christian at some point afterward. On the old version of their Metal Archives page, there was a note saying, "Cintia and Mendes now part of the white metal!" which would indicate, to me, that only those two members had converted. However... the lyrical themes clearly say "Christianity". I don't know what's going on with that.

BAND NAME: Azmaveth
GENRE: Unblack/Death Metal with Symphonic Influences
STATUS: Unknown
LOCATION: Puerto Rico (Ponce)

The idea for the band was conceived in 1998, though it wasn't actually "formed" until 1999, when they officially formed under the name Exousia. After only two months though, they discovered another band with the same name. They prayed for a new band name, and while studying the Bible, discovered the name "Azmaveth", and changed their name to that later in 1999. (Incidentally, according to that first link, Ancient Prophet had apparently been away from metal for 15 years before forming this band?!)

"Azmaveth" is a Hebrew name, and can be translated a few different ways, but the relevant translation here is "strong as death". It can refer to a place in ancient Israel, and one of King David's warriors. The band focus on the warrior with that name, pointing out that "For us this is the attitude a Christian must have in front of the world's pleasures, to defeat them."

By the way, it doesn't seem that anything notable happened when they went by the name Exousia, so I probably won't make a separate page for that.

The title of the review is "The Unblack Horde from Puerto Rico", but I assume that's just the name of the review, not the name of the demo.

ABOUT THE LAYOUT PHOTOS:
These pictures from a lyric booklet, were found on Facebook. However, they contradict the review, which states this was a three-song demo. The tracklist appears to be identical to their albums. Are these from a different, but similar-looking, release, perhaps..?
